What To Do To Kimono Style Cardigan A Statement Piece

By Patty Goff

There are so many ways in which a person can accessorize and express himself. For girls and women, the usual go to when you want the world to know who you are is by the way you dress. It is also used to express your current feeling and your vibe for the day. There are times when the weather and temperature would change, but it is interesting to note that women still find a way to work around and even use situations like this to dress up.

Today, there are a lot of ways to put on an outfit. There are even different styles and themes. Fashion has a way of reinventing itself and creating something new while drawing inspiration from the traditional. One of the best example for this is the rise of a new fashion trend which is the kimono style cardigan.

Japanese women were the first ones to sport this get up since it is their national dress. But the kimono of today has a lighter weight. And now it is usually used as a jacket.

The thing about fashion is that it never stops on one trend alone. People find ways on how they could reinvent a certain piece. Before these kimonos were just plain and sheer fabric. But now you can see the various prints designs and cuts that it has. And because it is a jacket, you need to find other pieces so that you can complete your fashion ensemble.

It is a breezy and lightweight piece that is perfect for the summer. But because you can have the option to style it your way, it might just be one that you could wear for all seasons. With the right cardigan, you might even look slimmer.

It can be used with everyday clothing. A simple pair of jeans and shirt could have a more sophisticated look if you put on a cardigan with it. But to successfully wear this look, you need to make sure that the under shirt is not too loose. The color is also important so that you would not look too over dressed.

If you have decided to stick to a cardigan with prints, the color of what is underneath should be plain. Sticking to one color is important to avoid color clashing. If you feel like wearing more colorful bottom pieces, you also can. But be careful if you are going to aim for this look.

You should also consider the footwear that you are going to sport at a particular outfit. But you should base your shoes on the things that you are going to do while wearing it. It is really important that you be comfortable with what you are wearing. Plain skirts can also be a good pair for kimonos. It does not matter what kind of cut it would be as long as you are going to wear plain skirts for printed cardigans and printed skirts for plain ones.

A kimono is also a fashion statement when worn over a dress. If you want to look more formal and chic, the dress should be fit to your body but not to the point that it is already clinging to your every curve. Just the right fit will do. For the more relaxed look, you can pair it with a breezy dress as well. But you must remember that printed kimonos must have a plain fabric underneath it.
