Bow ties originated from Croatia where it was copied by the upper classes from France as part of their formal outfits. However post world war the fashion died out and was only worn during special occasion. But in recent times women have been seen sporting design a custom bow tie as part of their fashion tirades for women rights and other feminist movements.

But it adds a touch of class to your outfit too. So if you are invited to a last minute party and you choose to wear a one to match your outfit. Did you that there are three kinds to choose from.

There are pre tied, clip on, and self tie with all these are the beginnings of wonderful journey to learning how to tie a decent looking tie around the neck area. These are called pre tied usually refer to ready made sewn already by a sewing machine. A long fabric strap is inserted between the circular knot that holds the ribbon.

Where it hooks at the each end to keep it in place. The self tie or commonly called as free style is similar to a necktie. Where you need to follow a few steps in creating the knot and ribbon then finishing it off.

It is very adjustable which helps the wearer feel comfortable about it, and with a little practice it will be easier to wear. Tying one looks difficult at first but it takes seven steps to tie one. It looks complicated at first but with practice it becomes a breeze.

Get one and hang it around your neck leaving one end 2 inches longer then choose which one is A or B. Now Cross A above B then insert A from down the loop next turn A at the center of the newly formed loop. With everything in place simple fold A again by itself through the back loop and you have a bow tie.

The butterfly comes in two sizes such as the regular fits all type of tie. And the huge butterfly that is twice the size of the regular one. The slim type has a cleaner and sharp look for those modern day parties and events it has been voted as the most stylish.

Next on the list is the jumbo or big butterfly because this is a larger version of the thistle, this is for cheeky people because it offers a relaxed look. Straight, slim, or batwing is the smallest size with less than 2 inches in height and gives a modern clean look, but less formal than butterfly.
